What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recruiting RN position at Lincare?
The Recruiting RN is generally responsible for the pre-employment physical review and processing for required positions.
- Performs physical reviews in a timely and professional manner
- Provides oversight of TB and Fit Testing
- Assists in triaging and managing work-related injuries and illness with the Case Management Team
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Assesses physicals and provides recommendations on the hiring of new employees
- Clarifies and follows up with clinicians after reviewing physicals
- Obtains clearance from treating provider when warranted
- Performs complete and professional assessments in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures
- Maintains and establishes relationships with various Occupational Health Clinics throughout the US
- Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA (including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, and Emergency Planning
- Facilitates and utilizes clinical portals when available
- Collaborates with multiple departments to streamline hiring process
- Maintains employee pre-employment physicals in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards
- Assists management with work related injuries
- Ability to remotely triage workers following an injury
- Evaluates all injuries and illnesses in an efficient and professional manner within the scope of practice and consistent with clinical nursing guidelines
- Ability to communicate treatment options with workers based on the severity of the injury
- Assists departments with identifying, evaluating, implementing, accommodating, and return-to-work options for workers with restricted duty
- Coordinates case management of work-related injuries by managing all cases to facilitate productivity, ensuring appropriate care and return to work
- Works low volume on-call evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis
- Frequency is determined by the number of employees available to share in the responsibility
- Must respond in a timely manner
Qualifications:
Education
- Registered Nurse, Required
- Compact License, Preferred
Work Experience
- 2 years as an RN with clinical capacity, Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- OSHA Recordable criteria and industrial health standards
- Possess strong analytical and critical thinking to make intelligent, informed decisions about the health and safety of employees and their organizations
- Excellent human relations to collect important data from workers, supervisors, doctors/providers, and clinic staff
- occupational health, pre-employment, and routine testing (physicals, fit testing, TB)
- communicate supportively and compassionately with injured workers
- timely analyze the injury or illness to develop next steps in case management
- Strong leadership to instill confidence and trust with injured workers
- Must be computer literate
Licenses and Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- Must be a clinician authorized within scope of practice (as established by applicable state law or if none, by the applicable national board)
