Job Title: EHS Administrator
Starting Salary: $45,000
Job Summary
Reporting to the EHS Manager, the EHS Administrator will primarily assist with safety and health activities of the department.
Responsibility
- Support initiatives to enhance plant-wide health and safety practices.
- Facilitate safety and health training sessions for employees.
- Conduct safety and health inspections and audits on the manufacturing floor, ensuring documentation compliance.
- Assist in managing and tracking incident reports and the incident management process.
- Participate in investigations of workplace accidents and incidents.
- Contribute to the safety committee and monitor team progress on safety initiatives.
- Help maintain accurate records for all health and safety programs.
- Assist with scheduling medical appointments for employees.
- Support workers' compensation record-keeping and related documentation.
- Undertake special projects as assigned.
- Assist with various environmental programs and initiatives.
- Contribute to the ongoing maintenance of safety programs.
- Lead safety orientations for new hires.
- Collaborate with Human Resources on new hire drug screening processes.
- Assist in maintaining environmental compliance documentation.
- Support the management and upkeep of the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Required Skills/Experience
- Professional demeanor and dependability with excellent attendance.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, and accommodate on-call/off-shift schedules.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and email.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of, or willingness to learn, health and safety protocols.
- Interest in developing knowledge of OSHA regulations (Federal and State).
Assist in the development, creation, and updating of safety and health programs.
