Job Title: General Manager
Job Summary

Responsibility
- Drive Sales and Customer Relationships by developing implementing strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for growth.
- Provide reliable support and guidance to the leadership team, ensuring they achieve their departmental goals and align with overall company objectives.
- Verify daily production processes are optimized for efficiency, safety, and quality, meeting customer demands and operational goals.
- Oversee engineering to ensure the design and refinement of manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to forecast workforce needs, manage employee engagement programs, and ensure compliance with HR legal requirements to enhance motivation, satisfaction, and productivity.
- Ensure all safety protocols and legal requirements are met, creating a culture of safety across the plant.
- Partner with the Accounting Manager to develop and maintain cost control systems, and adherence to budgetary constraints and approve budgeting and financial decisions.
- Oversee facility maintenance activities ensuring legal requirements are met. Monitor maintenance performance, handle budgetary issues, and ensure timely reporting and resolution of facility-related issues.
- Evaluate and Enhance Quality Control Systems together with the Quality Manager to design, implement, and continuously improve quality control measures, ensuring that products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory standards.
- Oversee materials management to ensure efficient inventory management, procurement, and utilization of materials, supporting production schedules and maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Post secondary education in related technical/business field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum ten years’ experience in a management position, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate expert-level communication skills, both written and oral, ensuring clear, effective interactions with team members, customers, and suppliers.
- Exhibit strong negotiation abilities to effectively secure contracts with suppliers while fostering an inclusive environment and ensuring all team members are valued and heard.
- Ability to review financial records to determine accuracy and adhere to financial procedures.
- Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word and PowerPoint.
