Job Summary
The General Ledger Accountant performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus on General Ledger accounting. This position is also responsible for supporting the Controller in conducting key activities such as Month-End and Quarter- End close, Fixed Assets, Account Reconciliations and Audits.

Job Title : Accountant
Job Summary
The General Ledger Accountant performs a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions with significant focus on General Ledger accounting. This position is also responsible for supporting the Controller in conducting key activities such as Month-End and Quarter- End close, Fixed Assets, Account Reconciliations and Audits.
Responsibility
- Prepare monthly journal entries such as payroll, benefits, accruals, expense allocations, and revenues.
- Support with balance sheet preparation and monthly account reconciliation.
- Maintain and update fixed assets tracking processes.
- Support in continuous improvement processes as it relates to financials.
- Support in all aspects of financial/tax return preparation.
- Support plant controller with other duties as assigned including by not limited to executing Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or at least 7 years of accounting experience with a focus on A/R, AP or cost accounting.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Five years of experience in accounting or related field.
- Intermediate to advance skills in MS Excell
- Experience in ERP systems (PLEX) strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to resolve complex problems with multiple variables.
