Job Title: Quality Supervisor
Job Summary
Coordinate daily activities of the Quality department. Prioritize and assign tasks to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Monitor the performance of equipment and processes; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve scheduling problems to maintain efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Quality Inspectors and Gauge Technicians in the facility.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and supervision of Quality personnel.
- Develop and recommend test procedures for products, raw materials and maintain test equipment.
- Supports production requirements.
- Evaluate employees through performance reviews, ongoing coaching, and feedback.
- Support product launches and be involved in quality planning.
- Oversee the efficient implementation of quality standards, programs, and processes to improve operational efficiencies and reduce/eliminate production waste.
- Support IATF internal audit system and participates in LPA.
- Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent expertise gained through professional experience, training, or certifications.
- ASQ Certification and/or certificate in QA Program an asset
Required Skills/Experience
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Functional knowledge of SPC, IATF 16949 / ISO14001, VDA, MSA, PPAP and APQP.
- CMM Programming experience is an asset.
- Ability to use basic computer applications and software such as Microsoft Office Suite.
