Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to join our dynamic caregiving team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary focus will be to support patients with their daily needs, promote independence, and ensure their comfort and safety through attentive observation and compassionate assistance. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care by assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and accurately documenting medical information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality.
- Assist with specialized care needs including catheter care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, hospice support, and memory care activities.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients with developmental disabilities or those requiring long-term or hospice care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring proper infection control practices.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding patient status, medical documentation, and updates on patient progress or concerns.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification or HHA certification required; prior experience in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience working with people with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or in hospice environments.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical terminology; CPR certification is required or must be obtained upon hire.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities.
- Ability to assist with ADLs using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts; experience with catheter care and medication administration is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
