What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Hygienist position at Limestone Dentistry?
At Limestone Dentistry we are a family-owned practice in Jeffersonville, Indiana with no corporate influence or partnerships. We are looking for an ideally fulltime (or part time) dental hygienist that fits well with our team and promotes a cohesive work environment.
We would absolutely love to hire an experienced hygienist– however we believe finding the right fit of employee takes priority over experience. We are willing to invest time and training into a kind, motivated, reliable individual that wishes to grow a genuine rapport with patients.
Our small team helps one another with room setup, sterilization, patient coordination and miscellaneous tasks. We are all different in our own ways, but truly care for one another. This is an accomplishment we wish to extend to another dental hygienist.
Our clinical team consist of one doctor, two assistants and one other full-time hygienist. We also use dental assistant interns year around from Carris College, Ivy Tech and Processer high school to aid our hygienist in perio-charting, taking x-rays and turning over rooms.
A little about us: In September 2024 we moved our office from a small three operatory location to a brand-new stand-alone building complete with state-of-the-art digital equipment. Each of the operatories have brand new ADEC dental equipment and touchscreen cavitron units. We send all hygiene instruments off for re-tipping every three months. Hygiene has the autonomy to purchase instruments that they prefer. We utilize open dental software with Romexis imaging.
Our patient hours are Monday-Thursday 9AM-5:00PM with a one hour lunch. Hygiene is given the option to start at 8:00AM or 9:00AM if more hours are wanted. We ask staff to be clocked in around 8:20AM to help with morning setups. We have a breakfast huddle every morning to discuss our day as a team. Once a month, (during patient hours) we have a paid staff meeting (lunch included!) to review recent events, take group continuing education and/or give staff time to catch up on items.

Pay: $45-55 per hour is determined by individual experience and includes the monthly bonuses that are based off office and individual production.
