Role Description The Small Group Teacher is a part-time, on-site role located in Lawrence, KS. This position is responsible for planning and delivering small group instruction in reading and math. The Small Group Teacher will teach 3-8 students, assess student progress, and adjust instruction based on data and observations. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with other educators, maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and lesson planning.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with students, families, and colleagues in a clear, respectful, and culturally responsive manner.
- Experience with elementary-age learners, including skills in differentiating instruction and managing small groups.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; valid or eligible teaching certification in Kansas preferred.
- Commitment to equity, inclusive practices, and supporting diverse learning needs.
