What are the responsibilities and job description for the Short Order LHP position at LIMEHOUSE PRODUCE INC?
The Short Order Selector is responsible for pulling and producing shipments in an accurate and timely manner for Keany customers who order products in smaller quantities (by each, by pound, or by half case). The Short Order Selector is also responsible for loading the orders onto a pallet in an accurate, careful and timely manner for next day and same day Keany Produce customers.
Essential Job Functions:
- Pulling, labeling, and packaging orders for Keany Produce customers.
- Loading pulled orders onto pallets and / or delivery trucks.
- Inspecting completed orders to ensure that all product items have been pulled.
Additional Job Functions:
- Cleaning the warehouse area including sweeping and removal of any boxes
- Filling empty slots with new produce, dairy products, and dry goods
Working Conditions/Job Environment
1. Degree of physical demands (strength) usually associated with this position:
• Minimum lift requirement 50-60 lbs on a regular basis
• Requires repeated stooping and bending
• Frequent lifting and carrying of boxed/bagged fruits and vegetables
• Requires continuous standing for extended periods of time
• Frequently requires riding a motorized, stand-on pallet jack
Environmental conditions (physical surroundings and hazards) usually associated with this position:
• Working in a 45 degree (F) processing area for 8-10 hours on a daily basis
• Working in a damp environment 8-10 hours on a daily basis
• Moderately noisy environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2--3 years direct order pulling experience preferably in the industry
- Knowledge of weights and measure
- Knowledge of food safety
- Knowledge of warehouse management software
- Skills and Abilities:
- Able to make judgments on product quality
- Able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasked environment,
