Job Title: Junior Python Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid – NY Office/WFH
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Position Overview:
We are seeking a curious and driven Junior Python Software Engineer with a strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to join our product development team. This is a great opportunity for someone with academic or early professional experience in AI/ML who wants to apply their skills in a fast-paced financial technology environment.
You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and data scientists to help design, build, and maintain AI-powered features that enhance our trading infrastructure. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world applications of AI in finance, including automation, analytics, and intelligent decision support. Additionally, you will be working on web applications and APIs using the Django framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and integrating AI/ML models into trading systems.
- Support model deployment, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Write clean, efficient Python code for data processing and system integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
- Work within Linux/Unix environments to build and deploy applications.
- Learn and contribute to client-facing features and internal tools.
Qualifications:
- Academic coursework, internship, or early work experience in AI/ML or data science.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Understanding of basic software engineering principles and version control (e.g., Git).
- Interest in systems integration and real-time data processing.
- Understanding of Django's architecture, ORM, and templating engine.
- Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with real-time data or interest in trading systems.
- Exposure to cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for machine learning deployment.
- Interest in financial services, market data, or electronic trading.
