What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Production Supervisor position at Lime Media?

This role is for someone who gets excited about turning our CNC into a high-performing operation. You’ll be the one to set up, fine-tune, and keep our CNC machine humming – and in the future lead a small team that runs it day in and day out. From mechanical and maintenance oversight to making sure every design file runs smoothly, you’ll make sure our CNC capabilities are efficient, reliable, and ready to deliver excellence on every project.
What You’ll Do:
Get us up and running:
- Lead the installation, calibration, and setup of the CNC machine.
- Develop processes and best practices that make production smooth and efficient.
Keep things running right:
- Oversee daily operations, machine maintenance, and quality checks.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and software issues to minimize downtime.
- Manage file conversion and preparation so every job runs clean.
Build and lead the team:
- Recruit, train, and mentor CNC operators and maintenance techs.
- Foster a positive, safety-first, can-do culture that reflects Lime’s values.
- Coach the team to constantly improve skills and output quality.
Plan for the future:
- Look for ways to expand CNC capabilities and integrate new technology.
- Partner with leadership to make CNC a core part of our production power.
What You Bring
- Solid hands-on CNC setup, programming, and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong mechanical skills and a knack for solving problems on the fly.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM file prep and conversion.
- Leadership experience in a shop, fabrication, or production environment.
- Clear communicator who can work across teams and departments.
Physical Demands
- Standing and walking for extended periods during setup and operational work.
- Lifting, carrying, and positioning materials up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, stooping, and reaching as needed to work on machinery and materials.
- Using hands and fingers to handle tools, parts, and controls.
- Working in a production environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and dust.
