Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools following food safety sanitizing procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all equipment is in proper working order
- Handle manual lifting of heavy items like large pots or crates of supplies with proper technique to ensure safety
- Follow strict food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Contribute to overall cleaning efforts in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold hygiene standards
Skills
- Prior experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred, especially with food handling and service procedures
- Strong understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and food safety management practices
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Experience with dishwashing equipment and cleaning tools to ensure efficiency and hygiene standards are met
