Lima One Capital’s Asset Management Intern will work across AM teams to gain hands-on experience in managing performing loans and overseeing construction projects. This role offers direct exposure to portfolio monitoring, borrower compliance, the escrow draw process and risk mitigation. The intern may also support Asset Managers with property analysis, construction/rehab review, market analysis, and borrower or investor inquiries. Additional responsibilities may include assisting in identifying and reviewing loans or projects that may transfer to Special Servicing. This position provides a unique opportunity to learn the full life cycle of asset management – from active portfolio oversight to problem resolution – through a “learning-by-doing” approach.

Job Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring loan performance, borrower compliance, and key deadlines such as maturities, extensions, and covenants.
- Support preparation of internal reports, trackers, dashboards and portfolio summaries.
- Conduct market and property-level research to provide context for loans and asset performance.
- Review borrowers draw requests, validate against budgets, documentation and inspection reports.
- Track and identify construction progress, schedules, and variances.
- Assist in identifying potential risks such as delays, budget overruns, or compliance gaps.
- Prepare analysis of property operating information in accordance with CRE industry standards.
- Review loans that are transferred to Special Servicing, learning how Performing Asset Management and Construction Management work together to resolve issues throughout the loan life cycle.
- Assist in identifying and implementing process improvement to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assist Primary (core) Servicing representatives in significant market events outreach efforts, as needed.
- Comply with all Company procedures for training, compliance, audits, and reporting.
- Perform such other activities and duties as may be assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or currently pursuing degree in finance, real estate, business, construction management or related field (Finance and Construction Management preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interpret nonverbal cues.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.
- Location: Onsite in Greenville, SC

- Pay: All our interns are paid for the work they perform, hourly rate dependent on position
