Role Description The Oncology and Infusion Clinical Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lima, responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients receiving oncology and infusion therapies. This team member reviews and verifies chemotherapy and biologic orders for accuracy, safety, and adherence to evidence-based protocols, and prepares or supervises preparation of sterile IV admixtures in compliance with regulatory and institutional standards. The pharmacist collaborates closely with oncologists, advanced practice professionals, nurses, and other care team members to optimize medication therapy, manage drug interactions, and support symptom management. Daily responsibilities include counseling patients and caregivers on medication regimens and side effects, monitoring lab results and treatment responses, adjusting therapy as appropriate, and documenting interventions in the medical record. The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary rounds, contributing to policy and protocol development, supporting quality improvement and medication safety initiatives, and precepting or mentoring learners as appropriate.
