What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Assistant - Lab-Core position at Lima Memorial Health System?
Functioning within the Health System’s mission, values, objectives, and policies and procedures, the Laboratory Assistant processes specimens for analysis in accordance with defined standard operating procedures, performs waived testing according to CLIA-88 Standards under direct supervision, , manages reagent inventory, performs daily equipment maintenance, departmental cleaning and decontamination, and other duties as directed by the department supervisor.
Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
Licensure/Certification: None required.
Experience: None
Skills: Must have excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills and the demonstrated ability to work effectively with all customers including patients and staff.
