This is a full-time remote role for the position of Head of Investment at Lima Films. The primary responsibility of this role is to source, secure, and manage investment capital for the company’s film projects. The Head of Investment will lead all fundraising efforts, actively identifying and engaging potential investors, structuring investment opportunities, and closing financing deals to ensure projects are fully funded.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with investors, presenting film projects in a compelling and financially sound manner, and aligning investment strategies with the company’s production goals. The Head of Investment will work closely with the executive team to prioritize projects, determine funding needs, and ensure capital is deployed effectively across productions. Oversight of financial risk and investor reporting is also a key component of the role.
This is a commission-based role to start, with compensation tied directly to successfully raised and closed investment capital. This structure will remain in place during an initial performance period to establish a proven track record of fundraising success for the company. Once consistent results and a demonstrated track record have been achieved, a transition to a base salary plus commission structure may be discussed and implemented at the company’s discretion.
- Proven experience in raising capital, investment management, or investor relations
- Strong track record of securing funding or closing investment deals
- Expertise in investment strategy, financial structuring, and deal negotiation
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
- Deep understanding of financial markets and investor expectations
- Ability to identify, approach, and build relationships with high-value investors
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree is a plus)
- Strong interest in film production and the entertainment industry
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
