Position Overview
The Enrichment Coordinator Manager will oversee the daily operations of the enrichment department, lead a small team, assist with program development, and ensure pets are receiving safe, structured, and engaging care experiences. This individual must be confident working independently, making decisions without constant supervision, and maintaining a high level of accountability and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support a small enrichment team during daily operations
- Coordinate and execute enrichment and training activities for daycare and boarding guests
- Monitor pet behavior and ensure safe group dynamics
- Implement structured activities including obedience games, sensory play, treadmill sessions, agility, puzzles, and confidence-building exercises
- Assist in developing and improving enrichment programming and workflows
- Ensure pets receive individualized attention and quality care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of enrichment spaces and equipment
- Communicate professionally with leadership, team members, and clients
- Assist with staff coaching, accountability, and team development
- Document pet progress and provide updates/report cards when needed
- Help maintain a positive, team-oriented culture focused on safety and exceptional pet care
Qualifications
- Prior professional experience working with dogs in daycare, boarding, training, veterinary, shelter, or enrichment environments
- Previous leadership or management experience required
- Strong understanding of canine body language and behavior
- Ability to safely handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable leading a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, professional, and solution-oriented
- Passion for enrichment, training, and improving the quality of life for pets
- Experienced in dog training
- Full-time availability required
- Must be available for a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed
- Must be physically capable of standing, walking, lifting, cleaning, and handling active dogs throughout the day
