Production Line Lead (2nd SHIFT)

Lily of the Desert Nutraceuticals, conveniently located off Corporate Drive in Lewisville is seeking dedicated and proactive Production Line Leads on afternoon shift (2nd shift) to oversee daily dedicated line production within our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in manufacturing line activities, helping to ensure production efficiency, safety compliance, and quality standards are consistently met. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.

Standard shifts are 10 hours per day Monday through Thursday (4:30pm to 3:00am) with OT on Friday and occasional Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily operations of assigned production line (body wash, hot fill beverages, or similar).
• Ensure production runs according to schedule, meeting output, quality, and safety targets.
• Verify line setup, machine startup, and proper equipment operation at the start of shift.
• Coordinate with operators and packaging personnel to maintain steady workflow and minimize downtime.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of fillers, cappers, coders, case packers, and other line equipment.
• Ensure accurate completion of production documentation (BPRs, line checks, waste logs, component verification).
• Utilize the Quality Management System (QMS) for production documentation, deviations, material usage, and line release activities.
• Perform ERP system reporting, including component consumption, returns, finished goods reporting, and production confirmation.
• Maintain compliance with GMP standards and enforce proper sanitation and housekeeping practices.
• Communicate any quality issues or deviations to Quality and Production Management.
• Train, coach, and support operators to improve skill levels and cross-training.
• Work closely with the 2nd shift supervisor to adjust staffing, assignments, and priorities as needed.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed and address any unsafe behaviors or conditions immediately.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience leading or operating production lines in cosmetics, personal care, nutraceuticals, or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of GMP, safety protocols, and production documentation.
• Ability to read and follow Batch Packaging Records (BPRs) and Work Orders.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting fillers, cappers, and packaging equipment.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to guide and support a diverse team.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to assist in other production areas as needed.

Pay: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
