Job Overview
Lily and Sparrow is seeking an experienced Flatbed Printer & Cutter Operator to join our team in Winneconne, WI. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for operating our Vanguard flatbed printer and Kongsberg Precision Cutting Solutions flatbed cutter to produce high-quality printed and cut products. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and thrives in a hands-on production environment.
Duties
- Operate and maintain the Vanguard flatbed UV printer to produce high-quality print output
- Set up, operate, and maintain the Kongsberg Precision Cutting Solutions flatbed cutter
- Load and unload media/substrates safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-press tasks including file setup, color calibration, and job preparation
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, troubleshooting any defects
- Manage production workflow and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members and communicate job status to supervisors
Requirements
- 3 years of hands-on experience operating flatbed printers and/or flatbed cutters
- Experience with Vanguard flatbed printers preferred
- Experience with Kongsberg cutting systems preferred
- Strong understanding of print production processes, substrates, and color management
- Ability to read and interpret production files and job specs
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform basic equipment maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with wide-format printing software and RIP software
- Familiarity with digital design files (PDF, AI, EPS)
- Prior experience in a sign, display, or print production environment
