The Maintenance Technician position involves responsibilities such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and general property maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will manage maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocols.

Additionally, the Maintenance Technician will manage maintenance systems to ensure optimal operations and client/tenant satisfaction in accordance with department protocols.
Responsibilities
This role plays a key part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our buildings, creating safe, functional environments for tenants, clients, and patients. Key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Complete maintenance and repair work orders using work order software
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues safely and efficiently
- Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and parts
- Communicate effectively with tenants, vendors, and team members regarding building needs
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Support the Supervisor/Property Manager in monitoring building operations and vendor performance
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Minimum of 2 years of related maintenance experience; preferably in healthcare, commercial real estate, or hospital environments
- Certifications (e.g., HVAC, CFC Handling, Electrical, Plumbing) preferred
- Must be located in Richmond, VA area
- Must be in office (onsite) 5 days a week with availability for after-hours emergencies and participation in on-call rotation
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb ladders/stairs, and perform extensive walking
- Basic computer skills and comfort using maintenance or work order software
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
