Duties
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and salads according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and assist with menu selections through upselling techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
- Manage cash register transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing excellent customer service.
- Restock ingredients and supplies promptly to keep the station organized and fully equipped for service periods.
- Support team members by bussing tables, cleaning workstations, and ensuring a smooth flow during busy hours.
- Follow all food safety protocols and health regulations to ensure a safe dining environment for guests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or retail food environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting (up to 25 pounds), and reaching.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper kitchen practices.
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is highly desirable; familiarity with grocery store operations or café environments can be advantageous.
