Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with precision and creativity to meet customer specifications and presentation standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks for catering events or high-volume production needs
- Follow food safety management practices to ensure all products meet health regulations
- Support food industry best practices by adhering to recipe instructions, portion control, and quality standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, baking, or pastry arts within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cake decorating techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail for recipe adherence and presentation quality
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Previous experience in high-volume production or catering is preferred
- Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on baked goods or pastry preparation is highly desirable
