Join a dynamic healthcare team as a part-time Medical Assistant, where your energy and dedication will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will support physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative tasks that ensure smooth operations within outpatient settings. Located in downtown Flushing, Queens, We are open to bilingual English with Mandarin or Cantonese or Fukienese-speaking candidates and we offer a competitive, negotiable hourly rate.
Schedule
Part time; Monday - Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, temperature, and oxygen saturation levels.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems efficiently by entering patient data, updating records, and coding diagnoses using ICD standards.
- Perform routine medical tasks including sample collection for diagnostic testing (EKG, phlebotomy/ venipuncture, etc).
- Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, scheduling follow-ups, and ensuring a positive experience throughout their visit.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a medical assistant (MA) in clinical settings (>1 year) highly preferred.
- High school diploma required. National MA certification (CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), CCMA (NHA), and NCMA (NCCT)) preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding to accurately document patient encounters.
- Experience with EHR systems and proficiency in managing medical administrative support tasks.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care across diverse populations.
