Responsibilities
- Create and follow a comprehensive curriculum (Creative Curriculum)
- Teach beginning reading and math skills
- Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
- Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
- Communicate with parents and other school personnel
- Assess students' skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
- State teaching Certification, P-3 certification
- Preferably familiar with the Creative Curriculum and strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Problem-solving and mediation skills
