Duties
- Assist in managing classroom activities, ensuring a structured and positive environment for children
- Support lead teachers with lesson planning, setup, and cleanup of educational materials
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, promoting safe behavior and teamwork
- Implement behavior management strategies to encourage respectful interactions and self-regulation
- Provide first aid when necessary, following safety protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns
- Support children with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs) to foster inclusive learning experiences
- Help coordinate afterschool programs such as tutoring, sports coaching, arts, or theater activities to enrich children's development
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare settings is preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively; certification in first aid is a plus
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members
