Dog Daycare Attendant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and supervision for dogs in a daycare setting. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of all dogs in your care while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with dogs during playtime to ensure safe interactions and positive behaviors.
• Provide basic training and reinforcement of good manners to dogs as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of the daycare area, including cleaning kennels, play areas, and equipment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of dogs, reporting any concerns to management.
• Assist with feeding, administering medications, and providing general care as required.
• Ensure all dogs are properly restrained during grooming or handling procedures.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their dog's behavior and needs.
• Collaborate with team members to create a positive environment for both dogs and staff.

Requirements

• Previous experience in dog handling or animal care is preferred.
• Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus.
• Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in pet grooming is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds).
• Strong customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
• Familiarity with animal restraint techniques is beneficial.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hour
