Duties
- Lead or assist in planning and executing educational, recreational, and developmental activities tailored to various age groups.
- Manage classroom or activity space to ensure a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for children and youth.
- Support children’s social-emotional development through positive behavior management techniques and encouragement.
- Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and team members regarding program progress and child needs.
- Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans to ensure participant well-being at all times.
- Support the overall operation of childcare or camp programs by assisting with setup, cleanup, record keeping, and compliance with licensing standards.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to create a disciplined yet nurturing environment.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices.
- Experience in working with children across diverse settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting.
- Ability to apply behavior management strategies effectively to promote positive interactions.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and child safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents or guardians.
Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
