Overview
The Ligonier Valley YMCA is seeking a caring and energetic Before & After School Teacher to join our Child Development team! This position supports school-age children in a fun, safe, and engaging environment before and after their school day.
Schedule:
- Split shift: 6:15 AM–9:00 AM and 3:30 PM–6:00 PM
- Preference given to candidates who can work both shifts, but we will consider applicants available for only AM or PM.
Duties
- Supervising and engaging children in age-appropriate activities
- Supporting homework and independent play
- Promoting positive social interactions and a safe learning environment
- Maintaining daily routines and ensuring program quality
- Communicating effectively with parents, staff, and school partners
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required with at least 2 years of experience working with children (some college preferred)
- Ability to pass all required clearances, health assessment, and TB test
- Enthusiasm for working with children and creating a positive experience every day

Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
