Safety Director – Construction & Manufacturing Operations
Dallas, TX (On-site with 40–60% travel)
Are you a strategic safety leader ready to shape and elevate safety culture across a growing organization? We’re seeking a Safety Director to oversee all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs supporting both construction and manufacturing operations across multiple regions.
In this highly impactful, company-wide role, you will partner with Operations, Project Management, and HR to drive consistent HSE standards, ensure compliance, and cultivate a proactive safety mindset across all teams.
What You’ll Do
Program Leadership & Compliance
- Develop and manage corporate HSE programs aligned with OSHA, DOT, and state regulations
- Establish and maintain safety KPIs, documentation systems, and reporting structures
- Build company-wide policies that ensure safe working environments across facilities and job sites
Field Support & Auditing
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and incident investigations
- Identify hazards and implement preventative measures
- Collaborate with project teams and general contractors to mitigate risk
Training & Communication
- Lead safety education initiatives, including in-person and digital training
- Promote open communication around incidents, lessons learned, and performance metrics
- Strengthen engagement and shared ownership of safety at every organizational level
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement
- Perform root-cause analyses and develop corrective action plans
- Drive targeted improvement initiatives for underperforming business units
- Stay ahead of industry trends to integrate best practices
Leadership
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on compliance and risk
- Lead Safety Committee meetings and foster accountability across regions
- Support workers’ compensation follow-up and reporting
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety (or related field)
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in safety management
- Experience overseeing multi-site programs (construction manufacturing preferred)
- OSHA 30 required; CSP/CHST or OSHA 500 a plus
- Strong analytical, communication, and coaching skills
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage competing priorities
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel 40–60%
