Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo machines, and other material handling equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Pick orders accurately using barcode scanning technology and manual order picker tools to fulfill customer requests efficiently.
- Manage inventory by conducting regular stock counts, updating warehouse management systems, and ensuring proper storage of materials.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Follow OSHA regulations and warehouse safety protocols during all manual handling and heavy lifting tasks.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing storage areas, maintaining clean workspaces, and adhering to safety standards in production environments.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or similar warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning for logistics, and inventory management practices.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and materials handling.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
- Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Warehouse experience with shipping & receiving procedures, order picking, load & unload tasks, and warehouse distribution processes.
- Certification or training in forklift safety protocols is highly preferred; ongoing training will be provided if needed.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
