POSITION SUMMARY
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing tensioned fabric projects according to strict deadlines, budgets, and quality standards. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of designers and craftsmen to deliver projects on time and within scope. Our ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure project success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Lead the planning and execution of custom tensioned fabric projects from PO acceptance through install.
- Upon project kick-off, define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets and coordinate communication between sales, senior management, designers, fabrication, and customers.
- Develop project plans, track progress, manage changes, and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth project execution of a portfolio of projects.
- Maintain detailed records of project activities, material usage, and change orders.
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays, cost overruns, or quality issues.
- Monitor production timelines and assist in corrective actions to ensure alignment with project milestones.
- Lead procurement and support logistic functions to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and parts.
- Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and documentation.
- Communicate POs and invoices between customers and in-house accounting.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout project lifecycles.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related field OR proven equivalent field experience.
- 2-3 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- PMP Certification or equivalent.
- Experience in architectural drawing software (CAD, Revit, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (Odoo) and Project Management software.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Steel manufacturing experience a plus
