We specialize in the design, engineering and manufacturing of custom fabric for architectural structures. Our structures serve the aesthetic design and speed of assembly needs of our customers in diverse markets.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Managing Director is responsible for driving the company’s strategic vision and operational excellence across Engineering, Design and Fabrication departments. This role leads cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives, achievement of short- & long-term financial goals, oversees manufacturing and financial operations, while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision and long-term growth plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to align operations with business objectives.
  • Support new market opportunities and oversee product development initiatives.

Operational Oversight

  • Supervise daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Implement and monitor production schedules, inventory controls, and supply chain logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Financial Management

  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor cost control measures and profitability across departments.
  • Collaborate with finance teams to manage cash flow, capital expenditures, and financial audits.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to department heads and senior managers.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.
  • Lead recruitment, performance management, and succession planning for key roles.

Customer and Stakeholder Relations

  • Maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Represent the company in negotiations, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through quality assurance and timely delivery.

Process Improvement and Innovation

  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and process optimization.
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Lead change management efforts to support organizational growth and agility.

This role demands strong strategic vision, entrepreneurial mindset, and sales expertise to expand Seaman Corporation's footprint into new and adjacent markets.

QUALIFICATIONS

· BS or BA degree

· 5-10 years of management experience

· Business degree or certifications, or equivalent experience preferred

· Good written and verbal communication skills required

· Experience in customer and account relationship management
