We offer competitive pay and benefits and are currently looking for a knowledgeable Lead Solar Technician who can effectively supervise a team to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and in compliance with all codes and standards. We have an immediate opportunity in Middle Tennessee.
- Responsibilities
Lead the installation of residential and/or commercial solar PV systems from start to finish.
- Supervise and train a team of solar installers.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and system plans.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance checks.
- Communicate effectively with customers, project managers, clients, and inspectors.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar PV installation.
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- Thorough knowledge of the NEC, local codes, and solar best practices.
- Experience with roof and ground-mount systems.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Able to effectively supervise a team.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Tolerance wearing PPE for extended periods of time.
- Work in various weather conditions, which can include extreme heat, cold or wet weather.
Preferred:
- Technical or trade school certification.
