- Design, deploy, configure, and manage Microsoft Azure infrastructure components (Compute, Storage, Networking, Azure AD, PaaS services).
- Monitor system performance, security posture, and availability, implementing proactive measures and responding to incidents promptly.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and other relevant tools (ARM templates, Bicep) to streamline deployment, configuration, and operational tasks.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions within Azure.
- Ensure the security of the Azure environment by implementing best practices, managing identity and access, and configuring security services (e.g., Azure Security Center, Sentinel).
- Collaborate effectively with other IT team members, development teams, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust cloud solutions.
- Act as a key technical resource for Azure-related projects and initiatives, providing expertise and guidance.
- Develop solution-driven approaches to complex technical challenges within the cloud environment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Azure architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Manage Azure costs through monitoring, analysis, and optimization strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Azure infrastructure and services.
- Be available to respond to critical system issues as needed, potentially participating in an on-call rotation.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% to various Lightwave-supported dental practices or for team meetings/training.
- Proven experience (3 years) as a Systems Engineer or Administrator with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Deep understanding of core Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Storage, Azure AD, Monitoring).
- Demonstrable proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration management, and reporting.
- Experience with Azure networking concepts (VNet, Subnets, NSGs, VPN Gateway, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers).
- Solid understanding of Windows Server administration.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Must be solutions-driven, proactive, and self-motivated.
- Demonstrated commitment to ensuring system availability and reliability.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
- Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-305).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and Azure Arc.
- Multi-site dental or healthcare support experience.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
