**Duties**
The Office Assistant will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including:
- greeting patients
- registering new patients according to established office protocols
- assisting patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation
- verifying and updating patient information
- informing patients of dental office procedures and policy
- moving patients through appointments as scheduled
- entering all relevant patient information into data system
- maintaining and managing patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations
- answering and managing incoming calls
- responding and complying to requests for information
- scheduling patient appointments
- confirming upcoming appointments and recalls according to office protocol
- checking daily appointment schedule
- filling in cancellations and no-shows
- organizing referrals to other medical specialists
- collecting and receipt of payments from patients at time of treatment
- informing patients of financial treatment plan options
- preparing and mailing billing statements
- preparing claim forms for dental insurance
- arranging supporting documents for insurance claims
- sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing post
- monitoring and maintaining inventory of dental office supplies
- updating patient education materials
- maintaining a professional reception area
- safeguarding patient privacy and confidentiality
**Experience**
The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working in a dental clinic setting. Prior experience with Eaglesoft software is highly desirable. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, thrive in a high pace environment, and excel at multitasking.
