JOB TITLE:  Warehouse Operations Specialist and Local Delivery Driver - Part Time

SUPERVISOR: Branch Operations Manager &/or Director of Regional Operations

SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist and Delivery Driver is a part time role and will perform a wide variety of tasks related to the daily operations of the Branch Warehouse. The role will be responsible for recording, processing, and storing lighting supplies that come into and leave the Warehouse. This position will also include transporting deliveries within the local Charlotte area.

This position must conform to all corporate policies and procedures, uphold ethical standards. This position will embody Lightserve’s core values, exemplifying them with the utmost integrity. This position is Part Time - Approximately 25 hours per week.

Flexible Weekday Schedule:  8:00 AM to 1:00 PM 5 days a week or 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM 3 days a week. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Transports and delivers a variety of lighting supplies and materials to customers and contractors in the Charlotte area.
• Records, stores, organizes, and rotates stock utilizing proper storage methods and procedures.
• 
  
  Prepares, packs, loads, and unloads lighting supplies and materials for local delivery and freight delivery.
• Operates delivery vehicles, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment.
• Completes regular checks on warehouse vehicles for fluid levels, proper tire pressure, cleanliness, and reports potential safety issues or service needs to Supervisor.
• Maintains storage areas and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Pulls supply orders and preform periodic Inventory checks/Cycle counting at directions of branch manager.
• Recommends items for reorder to maintain the necessary stock of materials on hand.
• Safely and appropriately operate the tools, equipment, and technology necessary in the storage and distribution operations of the warehouse facilities.
• Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships.
• Always communicates with customers in a professional manner when customer facing opportunities exist (face to face or phone).
• Additional job duties/responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

Education and Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification or completion within an agreed upon timeline.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to read maps and schedules, utilize GPS, and adherence to route schedules.
• Must be able to drive for extended periods of time.
• Valid Driver’s License. Must have an acceptable MVR.
• Satisfactory background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience working in high-volume warehouse operations.
• Experience operating a mid-size delivery vehicle.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stretching, stooping, pushing, and pulling.
• Must possess the ability to climb a ladder.
• Must be able to work with machinery, tools, electrical and motorized equipment.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
