LightPath Engineering is growing and looking for dependable, detail-oriented Field Engineers who enjoy the field and life on the road. You’ll help document real-world fiber and telecom infrastructure that supports expansion across the country. Boots-on-the-ground work that truly makes an impact.
Our most immediate project needs are in the Midwest, with additional projects launching across nationwide throughout the year. If you’re someone who has the work ethic, takes pride in quality work, and enjoys seeing new places, this may be a great fit!
You’ll spend your days in the field verifying existing infrastructure, capturing clear photo documentation, and building site surveys our clients can trust. We move with quality, compassion, communication, and integrity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Surveying aerial and underground copper and fiber routes
- Capturing high-quality geo-tagged photos of poles, pedestals, manholes, DTAPs, TMLs, lockboxes, and related infrastructure
- Verifying unit counts, addresses, and connection points at each location
- Building accurate site documentation and summaries
- Documenting findings using our software and Monday.com
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in telecom, utilities, OSP, construction, surveying, GIS, or related field work (Not required, but preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and personal accountability
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying terrain and weather
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new software and apps
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Willingness to travel full-time and work across state lines
Important Role Details
- 100% travel
- 1099 subcontractor position
- Production-based pay: You own your schedule and your pay
- All travel and living expenses are the engineer's responsibility
- Net30 Contract with weekly pay
