Job Duties: 

• Read work orders to learn the nature of the task, assess and diagnose the scope of the work, and complete the necessary work.
• Maintain, repair, and install lighting and signage.
• Using hand and power tools and electrical troubleshooting equipment to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, lighting signs, and fixtures.
• Use appropriate testing devices to troubleshoot and test electrical systems, continuity of circuits, electrical wiring, lighting and sign equipment and fixtures, to ensure compatibility and safety of all components.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and code requirements.
• Inspect electrical systems and their components to identify hazards and defects and repair/maintains those systems in compliance with code requirements.
• Maintain company vehicle in good working order and operate in a safe and legal manner.
• Accurately and thoroughly complete all paperwork on timely basis.
• Clean job sites and leave them in orderly and safe condition.
• Meet with and follow the direction of supervisors and Master Electrician.
• Work may be indoor or outdoor and may involve working individually or as part of a team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• 2 years of electrical or lighting experience, or equivalent education/training.
• Strong work ethic.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Willing to work extended hours on reasonable notice.
• Work well under deadlines.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Conscientious about completing paperwork.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds. Must be able to satisfy all applicable requirements of United States Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) – Including appropriate driver’s license and qualifications, background and drug screening, physical exam, etc.
