Lighting Maintenance Inc. (LMI) is looking for an experienced Sports Lighting Foreman to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to take on high-profile Musco sports lighting projects along the East Coast—from Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC down through Florida.
We want a hands-on leader who can run crews, solve problems in the field, and deliver top-tier sports lighting systems. If you have the skills to build and service Musco systems from the ground up—and the drive to lead a winning crew—this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and work alongside a crew of journeymen, operators, and helpers.
- Plan, schedule, and lay out all phases of sports lighting construction.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are on-site and ready ahead of schedule.
- Coordinate with general contractors, inspectors, and owners/end-users.
- Enforce safety standards, conduct inspections, and investigate incidents.
- Troubleshoot motors, controls, circuits, and related equipment.
- Review and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications.
- Supervise field operations—rigging, trenching, pole setting, and high-work installations (30–150 ft).
- Manage paperwork, reporting, and cost coding accurately.
- 5 years’ experience in sports lighting & electrical construction (Musco experience required).
- Journeyman Electrician license and CDL strongly preferred.
- Strong crew leadership skills—able to motivate, direct, and hold teams accountable.
- Knowledge of NEC, construction standards, and safe work practices.
- Tech-savvy enough to handle Microsoft Office, email, and field reporting.
- Willingness to travel and stay out of town for projects.
- Strong physical capability: lifting up to 80 lbs, climbing poles/ladders, and performing overhead work.
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow).
- Work at heights (30–150 ft) using bucket trucks, lifts, scaffolds, or catwalks.
- Regular use of ladders, power tools, trenchers, and heavy equipment.
- Requires personal tool belt (~30 lbs).
- Overtime and travel required based on project demand.
