Job Description

Lighting Maintenance Inc ("LMI") is seeking dedicated and skilled professionals to join our team as an Electrician Roadway Foreman. The position involves maintenance, repairs, and installation of commercial and roadway lighting systems.

We are seeking a highly responsible and detail-oriented individual with proven leadership skills. This role requires someone who is self-motivated and reliable, capable of working independently and taking initiative. Key responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations and the training of a one-to two-person crew."

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Licenses:

Current clean driver's license.

Class A CDL preferred

Certification:

Must have a journeyman electrical license.

Education:

High school graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent training.

Experience:

5 years of electrical experience.

1 year of roadway lighting experience, preferred.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Bucket Truck Experience: Minimum 2 years

Safety Training: OSHA 10 certification.

Work Zone: Intermediate (will train).

CDL: Class A or B (will train).

MOT Certification, TTCM (will train)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to work in varying weather conditions (heat and cold).

Willing to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week, with potential overtime and occasional night shifts.

SKILLS:

Ability to identify conductor colors.

Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.

Competent in using all power tools.

Capable of digging trenches with hand tools or power equipment.

Troubleshooting 3 phase lighting circuits

Setting light poles

Underground fault locating

Knowledgeable in safe work procedures as per company policies.

Skilled in operating two-handed tools such as cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, and jackhammers.

Ability to operate company trucks with automatic transmissions.

Proficient in reading and interpreting maps, manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints, and written instructions.

Experienced in operating and working from personal lifts (gas or electric powered).

Capable of operating equipment such as trenchers, backhoes, and lift trucks safely.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.

Capability to lift 51 pounds.

Ability to climb all types of ladders.

Capacity to complete overhead work for full-day assignments.

Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
