Summary: Responsible for overseeing Behavioral Health Specialist and implementing TBRI strategies during evening and weekend hours for all dormitories. Ensuring all evening and weekend activities occur as scheduled. Assumes leadership role for situations that occur during the shift and communicates with other managers on a continuous basis.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring that all daily activities occur as scheduled.
- Models and guides the staff in all interactions with clients.
- Manages the recruiting, onboarding, training and development of employees.
- Handles performance management and employee relations issues with support of HR.
- Uses TBRI elements in daily interactions between employees and youth by completing the TBRI checklist.
- Ensures the facility has minimum employee coverage needed for overall safety and well-being of youth and utilizes Shift Link when needed.
- Assumes leadership role in crisis situations occurring on shift.
- Provides administrative supervision, orientation, direction, and support to second shift/weekend employees.
- Maintains collaborative and communicative relationships with other managers.
- Supports oversight of visitations.
- Serves as a substitute group facilitator.
- Ensures medication management policies and procedures are followed on shift, including a review of youth Medication Administration Records.
- Ensures all incidents are properly documented and submitted for identified client incidents.
- Supports training efforts in client supervision and other topics as needed and appropriate.
- Provides and maintains quality documentation, records, reports and evaluations per agency standards.
- Complies with agency, federal and state policies, procedures and regulations.
- Attends regular training and development opportunities to maintain an up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety and local policy developments.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has supervision responsibilities for direct reports as assigned.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional residential setting housing youth from the ages of 14 – 20 years old. The work environment will depend on the program. The position is exposed to a physically challenging environment, which may include exposure to bloodborne and airborne pathogens, physical assault, verbal assault, loud noises, prolonged sitting, restricted movement outside the facility, and highly stressful and hazardous situations. This role is considered essential and has no remote work options.
Physical Demands: Our campus is widely spread out over 33 acres and approximately 80% of the acres are utilized for programming activities for the youth. This position is very active and requires standing, walking up several different inclines, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing stairs on a daily basis. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Hours will be worked within standard hours of operation for assigned site. The work schedule can include overnight, weekend, and holidays hours. On call and/or off hours work may be required to provide supervision/management of the facility and/or staff.
Travel: Travel is primarily local during the business day. Transporting clients in company vehicles is expected.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience:
- Associate degree w/ 2 years’ experience in Community MH; Criminal Justice; or closely related field.
- Active CDCA, QMHS
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in human services or related field 2. Experience providing mental health case management services.
3. Active LCDCII, LCDCIII, LSW, or PCC licensure
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Good driving record
- CPR / First Aid certified (company provided)
- Handle with Care certification (company provided)
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency.
