Qualifications

Education:

• Completion of 9th grade. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219..

Experience:

• 1 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.

License/Certification:

• N/A

Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:                     

• Must have a minimum one year of experience and/or training in custodial work. 
• Must have knowledge of cleaning implements and use of hand tools. 
• Demonstrated capabilities in interpersonal skills, memory, attention to detail, calculation, reading, evaluating, comprehension, and organizing.
• Must be able to communicate effectively. 
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work independently and be a team player.
• Adaptable to work assignments and flexible for urgent trade requirements.
• Preferred general maintenance knowledge.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to perform repetitive movements, including:
  • Standing, walking, and sitting
  • Using hands and fingers to handle, feel, and operate tools or controls
  • Reaching with hands and arms
  • Climbing stairs and maintaining balance
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Talking and hearing
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, including:
  • Cleaning products
  • Tools and ladders
  • Trash and facilities equipment
• Ability to safely operate equipment provided for job duties.
• May be exposed to indoor and outdoor hazards requiring adherence to:
  • Basic safety precautions
  • OSHA standards
  • Bloodborne Pathogen protocols
• Work environment may involve exposure to:
  • Unpleasant odors
  • Bodily waste and spills
  • Cleaning solutions and chemical cleaners

Requirements:

• Must pass Level II background checks
• Must pass the Bloodborne Pathogen Training
• Must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed to perform specific tasks
