Responsibilities
- Ability to work with children starting at age 4
- Determine client needs and create treatment plans with LPC
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards
- Provide direct support through individual skill building focused on mental health counseling, grief counseling, behavior management, and social work interventions
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to manage acute situations effectively while ensuring client safety and well-being
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as EMR/EHR platforms
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on inpatient and outpatient care plans for individuals with complex needs such as PTSD care, addiction counseling, or chronic pain management
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or Related Field
- QMHP Certified
- Experiance working with children ages 4 years old and older
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in clinical or outpatient settings with a focus on mental health counseling or psychotherapy
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is highly desirable
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-focused approaches
- Ability to handle sensitive situations involving diversity issues and Geriatrics populations with professionalism and empathy
- Strong understanding of clinical documentation standards within HIPAA-compliant environments along with familiarity in ICD coding for accurate diagnosis reporting
