What are the responsibilities and job description for the Church Music Director position at Lighthouse: The Tabernacle of Promise?
About The Lighthouse
Lighthouse: The Tabernacle of Promise is a presence-anchored, prophetic, atmosphere-shifting ministry called to build a hub where God’s realm touches ours. We are establishing a spiritual frequency that opens portals, shifts dimensions, and pulls people into alignment with divine destiny.
Our culture is:
Excellence. Honor. Presence. Order. Souls.
Everything we do must reflect Heaven’s blueprint.
We are not building a choir.
We are building a sound.
A frequency that changes the region.
A prophetic hub where every note has assignment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Music Director who understands the weight of atmosphere and the responsibility of sound. Someone who doesn’t simply play — but shifts, discerns, interprets, and executes prophetically.
This is for someone who:
- Can catch the Shepherd’s flow instantly
- Feels movements in the Spirit before they happen
- Knows how to push a moment deeper or pull it back into stillness
- Sees worship as warfare, not performance
- Is ready to be planted in a rising prophetic house
- Is not serving or committed to another ministry
This is assignment — not a gig.
What You’ll Do
You will steward the sound of The Lighthouse, building a musical foundation that supports glory, breakthrough, and prophetic flow.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and direct the band during worship, intercession, altar moments, and prophetic flow
- Shape musical arrangements that elevate the atmosphere and match the Shepherd’s spiritual direction
- Catch real-time prophetic movement and respond musically with precision and sensitivity
- Build and mentor musicians into atmosphere shifters who understand the DNA of the house
- Collaborate closely with the Worship Leader and Shepherd to set the sound for each service
- Conduct rehearsals with excellence, clarity, and spiritual intentionality
- Ensure transitions, shifts, and prophetic moments are supported musically
- Create a consistent, unified, and anointed band culture marked by honor and humility
- Partner with media/production to ensure seamless flow and excellence

- Committed to excellence and prepared for each assignment
- Emotionally mature, spiritually grounded, and aligned with Kingdom principles
- Not a member of another church — ready to be planted
- Consistent, teachable, punctual, and accountable
- Understands that sound is a weapon, not a performance
Requirements
- Significant experience leading or directing musicians in church settings
- Ability to follow the Shepherd’s prophetic flow with accuracy
- Availability for Sunday services, rehearsals, and special events
- Desire to grow with a rising prophetic ministry
