Yard Material Coordinator

Lighthouse Technologies is looking for a dependable and organized Yard Materials Coordinator to manage materials, equipment, and inventory at our local yard. The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, operating a forklift, handling cable and fiber reels, and keeping the yard organized and safe.

Cable, fiber, telecommunications, construction, or related industry experience is strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and organize Lighthouse Technologies and customer materials, equipment, and assets within the yard.
• Load and unload cable and fiber reels from trailers.
• Operate a forklift and other equipment as needed to safely move materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory of materials and equipment stored in the yard.
• Organize materials and equipment so they are easily accessible when needed.
• Prepare material and equipment orders to ensure crews have the supplies necessary to complete assigned work.
• Pick up and deliver materials and equipment using a box truck, large van, or other company vehicles.
• Assist with loading and securing materials for transportation.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Monitor materials and equipment and report shortages, damage, or other issues to management.
• Assist field crews with locating and preparing materials for upcoming projects.
• Perform other yard and materialrelated duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid driver's license and driving record that meets Lighthouse Technologies standards.
• Must be able to safely back a flatbed trailer.
• Forklift certification or prior forklift experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, construction, telecommunications, cable, fiber, or related environment preferred.
• At least 1 year of Excel experience.
• Ability to use computers and software applications, including spreadsheets, email, webbased applications, and inventory or billing systems.
• Ability to pass a nationwide background check and drug screen.
• Must present a positive and professional image to employees, customers, and clients.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

• Frequent walking, standing, sitting within the work area.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 80 pounds.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, and dry)
