What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gymnastics Instructor position at Lighthouse Sports Center LLC?
We are offering a hiring bonus for new employees! $300 for an applicant with 2 years minimum Gymnastics Coaching experience at a Gymnastics facility, $1000 for applicants with at least 5 years of coaching experience. *Bonus must be mentioned during the hiring process and will be paid after working with us for 3 months - eligibility is also based on attendance records and weekly availability. Applicant should have a fun, loud personality that has a strong energy! A love of working with kids and having fun with them is a must! While we are hiring for all levels of experience from entry-level through a competitive/managerial background, this particular position is for a full-time recreational gymnastics class instructor.
Job Duties would include:
- Coaching Recreational Gymnastics, and our other sports as needed
- Moving Matting, Supervising and Training Recreational Gymnasts
- Communication with parents regarding students' progress
- Working with the leadership team and fellow coaches on rotations, skill development, curriculum, and planning.
- Hiring for all levels of coaching backgrounds from recreational through a competitive/managerial background.
- Gymnastics experience is preferred.
- Coaching/instructor experience is preferred but we are open to training a coach who has the personality and attitude it takes to make a great coach.
- Must love working with children of all ages and abilities.
- This job requires physical activity/labor in demonstrating skills, helping students throughout a skill, and moving equipment. Must be okay spotting gymnasts and lifting/moving equipment.
- Aplicant should be willing to work at any of our locations.
- Applicant should be a team player that will be a strong representative of our brand.
- Applicant should be willing to follow our uniform policies, which includes company issue top, all black bottoms, and athletic shoes. No visible tattoos, piercings other than the ears, or hair colorations outside of the natural spectrum of hair colors. (i.e no blue, green, etc.)
- Applicant should have open availability of at least 1p-9p on weekdays, 8a-2p on weekends.
- Position starts at a minimum of $18/hour and increases based on experience and fit.
Lighthouse Sports Center is a Children's Activity Center specializing in Gymnastics, Cheer, Dance & Martial Arts with both recreational classes and competitive programs. There two main locations in Whittier and Downey. In addition, we have partnerships to instruct with local city governments.
