Lighthouse Search Advisors is partnering with a growing organization to identify a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in the monthly close process and day-to-day accounting operations.
This position is ideal for an accounting professional with approximately 3 years of experience who enjoys working within the general ledger, preparing reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting. The role is primarily focused on GL accounting and month-end close activities, with dedicated resources handling most AP and AR responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
- Support financial statement preparation and internal reports
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of general ledger activity
- Assist with audit requests and compliance-related initiatives
- Collaborate with finance and operational teams on accounting matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
- Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite experience
- Experience within the chemicals, manufacturing, or distribution industries
- Exposure to inventory accounting and cost accounting concepts
