Job Description Summary
Manages the day-to-day operations of 2 or more assigned luxury multifamily/mixed use rental properties including delivering a hospitality level of resident relations, maintenance team oversight, expenditure approvals, legal compliance, and onsite inspections in Westchester and Fairfield Counties.
Salary: Range commiserate with experience/qualifications $95-100k/year.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across a portfolio of luxury residential properties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness
- Manage resident relations, including issue resolution and community engagement
- Coordinate closely with the leasing team to ensure alignment on occupancy goals and resident transitions
- Oversee maintenance operations, ensuring timely completion and quality control of work orders
- Work with multiple maintenance techs to schedule work and ensure materials are authorized
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain asset quality, cleanliness, and brand standards – oversee janitorial staff efficacy
- Oversee move-in and move-out processes, ensuring a seamless resident experience
- Oversee on-site staff and vendors (maintenance, janitorial, contractors), ensuring accountability and performance
- Ensure compliance with all local landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and company policies
- Own property-level performance including resident satisfaction, collections, and expense control
Qualifications
- 3 years of property management experience, preferably in multifamily or luxury residential assets
- Experience managing multiple properties or a portfolio strongly preferred
- Proficiency with AppFolio or similar property management software
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with a hospitality-oriented mindset
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities across multiple locations
- Professional presence and attention to detail
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Property management certification (e.g., CAM) a plus
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant laws in New York and Connecticut
- Experience in luxury or Class A multifamily environments
- Proven ability to manage vendors and building operations
- Experience with resident engagement and community programming
- Basic understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
- Must have a vehicle to travel to/from properties. Office based but visit to properties multiple times per week
