Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Provider and/or a Pre-school Teacher, where your passion for nurturing young minds will inspire curiosity, growth, and a love for learning. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes childhood development and makes learning fun. We offer a pre school curriculum that is faith based for our preschoolers age 2,3. and 4. We want our students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children while working within a collaborative and supportive educational community.
We also have positions open for a baby room child care provider and summer camp teachers for school age children. Our center has children from babies to age 12. We are looking for full time and part time positions to be filled.
Duties
- Prepare daily lessons and activities for your students that go along with the curriculum selected for your class.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages positive behavior management and supports children’s social-emotional growth.
- Work closely with children to support their individual needs.
- Maintain supervision of your students at all times indoors and outdoors. Engage with the children throughout the day.
- Keep your classroom clean, organized and bulletin boards updated seasonally.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and best practices in early childhood education.
Experience
- Lead teachers are required to have NC Childcare Credentials or either enrolled in EDU 119 to get NC Childcare credentials within 6 months of hiring.
- Prior classroom experience in preschool or daycare settings is not required but helpful.
- Experience working with children of various developmental stages, including toddlers, preschoolers and school age.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and coworkers.
- Being familiar with NC Childcare Laws or a willingness to learn.
Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
