Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a leading clinical laboratory organization to identify a Vice President of Outreach Sales & Marketing. This executive leadership position is responsible for developing and executing the organization's commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and leading all outreach sales and marketing initiatives.
The Vice President will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, working cross-functionally with operations, finance, client services, and laboratory leadership to achieve strategic growth objectives while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction and operational excellence.
The Role You'll Play:
Executive Leadership
- Serve as a member of the executive leadership team, helping shape organizational strategy and long-term growth initiatives.
- Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute annual business plans and strategic objectives.
- Present regular business reviews, including revenue performance, sales metrics, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for geographic expansion, new service offerings, strategic partnerships, and market growth.
Sales Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing outreach sales organization.
- Design and execute strategies that drive new client acquisition, customer retention, and sustainable revenue growth.
- Establish sales goals, performance metrics, forecasting processes, and territory strategies.
- Oversee pipeline management and CRM best practices.
- Build executive-level relationships with hospitals, physician groups, health systems, long-term care organizations, and other healthcare partners.
Marketing Leadership
- Direct all marketing strategy, branding, communications, digital marketing, and lead generation initiatives.
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen brand awareness and support commercial growth.
- Oversee industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and promotional activities.
- Ensure consistent messaging that highlights the organization's quality, service, and value proposition.
Financial & Business Management
- Develop and manage departmental budgets while optimizing return on investment across commercial initiatives.
- Monitor revenue performance, productivity metrics, and financial results.
- Deliver accurate forecasting and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
Client & Strategic Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with healthcare providers, health systems, managed care organizations, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate with operations and client services teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Lead strategic account planning and contract negotiations for key clients.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure all sales and marketing activities comply with applicable healthcare regulations and industry standards.
- Promote ethical business practices and a culture of integrity.
- Partner with laboratory leadership to support quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Laboratory Science, Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of successful sales leadership experience, preferably within the clinical laboratory, diagnostics, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Demonstrated success developing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence physicians, healthcare executives, and senior leadership.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience managing sales forecasting, CRM systems, budgeting, and performance metrics.
